A couple of Sunday's ago I held a cave photography workshop at Poole's Cavern in Buxton, Derbyshire. It was well attended and the feedback was great!
The whole day was dedicated to teaching the participants the basic skills and techniques that you need to make a photograph underground in a cave environment. We spent the morning looking over equipment, photographic techniques and what makes a good and bad photograph. After lunch we headed into the cave to practice our new skills. I was on hand to offer advice and the participants helped each other with modeling and lighting. We ended the day by looking over everyone?s photographs, or at least those that were willing, and offered advice for improvement in the future.
However, since the 15th May, quite a few people have approached me and said how they would loved to have come along if they new sooner.
I?d be keen to know if there is interest for me to do another one of these, perhaps somewhere else in the country? In your caving area, in caves you are more familiar with?
Look forward to seeing your responses.
