Caving For The Over 70's

Slightly overdue thanks here, both to Simon Wilson and to steviet_scg, for your literary suggestions. I'll look into that Muir Gray book.

You've also jogged my memory - I used to have a very good sports injuries self help book by Vivian Grisogono but someone borrowed it a few years ago. As usual, I can't remember who (I'm always lending stuff out and forgetting where it's gone!) but I think it was a fellow caver. If that person is reading this - please can I have it back? You don't need to 'fess up on here (just send me a PM).

Re. TV, technology allows us to skip the crap i.e. the off/on button

Re. 60+ caving. I totally agree with the 'don't stop' theory if you want to make it into your 70's. For those of us who haven't been able to cave regularly it's find places which the body can cope with while getting the buzz of being in a cave...and no I don't mean a show cave.

Still going at 77 - and still finding new stuff.  It is the passion that keeps me going, that and the history. I just LOVE the 1940s and 50s when men were men and everything was homemade.  Today's cavers don't know their living!
