Caving hut shower ratings

I have put TSG on the top of this list as the water is hot, pressure is good as well as having loads of space. Plus you can have a seamless transition from toilet to shower . CSS also ranks highly as the water pressure is brilliant (maybe too powerful??).
Well, that's a third of the available huts covered:

unfortunately I haven’t used the showers in any other huts, so my results are a bit inconclusive 😔

My experience with the Shepton is that the hot water is often not on or running out; I've had a number of disappointing showers in the Shepton (otherwise, yes they are OK).

The Belfry showers are indeed not great, but they aren't terrible (no worse than any other cheap electric shower) and at least they are reliable.

I would definitely add YSS to the top slot (only the hot water showers; the electric showers are fine but not superlative, although it's good to have them if just popping in and don't want to wait for the water!). I've had merely warm, not hot, showers in the TSG when both in use? Could just be me.

These are the important questions, and I for one am glad this thread is answering them! ;)

TSG left shower is really good and ocassinaly you get a broom handle of a carrot launched through the gap in the door which spices it up a bit

South Wales CC, they are WONDERFUL 😍 but I wish people would
1. not go in with dirty cloths / welly boots / bags 🤨
2. don't leave them in the changing room (the next person doesn't have anywhere to put anything 😎
3. clean up after themselves which includes removing dirt /leaves/ hair from the drain cover 🤪

Please pretty please 😁

AND Yes I always pay the day fee because they have made it so easy with the pre-set-up in the iPad & tap (y)

It's the isolator for the fans - can only switch off the motion sensor at the breaker 😉😉
Yes that's the way things are supposed to work.

Back in the day the light switch was a normal ceiling-mounted pull switch, with the usual twin and earth cable to it - live and switched live.
When it was replaced by an occupancy sensor (which has its own active circuit) a neutral would have been needed.
I suspect the neutral came from the fan isolator which is very close.
I also suspect that it was taken from the output (switched) side of that isolator rather than the input (unswitched) side, with the result that when the fan is isolated the occupancy switch loses its neutral and the light goes out.

Have none of you used the wealden showers? Very nice, and the beer holders are less wonky than the swcc ones so less risk of spillage.

Does wsg still have the 2 person shower?

Best shower has to be the bucket in a tree, next to the footpath towards the Weisburghaus.

Worst either the climbing hut at tanygrisiau near croesor rhosydd. A bag of water on a hook. Or msg's communal ones. Not because of communal ness or bad ness , but for getting moaned at for the shape of my genitals embarrassing the old gits and them not being prepared to use communal showers as communal.

The Hub in County Fermanagh, NI, has a shower that is almost in the kitchen, as is the loo. It's a plaggy bukkit with holes drilled in hosting two bits of hose pipe one allegedly hot and the other cold. With respect to the provider of Amenities, I headed off to Blacklion.

CPC have pretty good showers. Plenty of hot water. Good pressure. Decent sized cubicle and good area to change etc in. Solid shelf to put stuff on. Light stays on. (and if you are really muddy / undesirable there is one in the rope wash room)
