Dye tested? Only in a nice coffee brown colour - results inconclusive! But I am sure they are doing a roaring trade in brown paper at the mill!

Me and Hughie have only ever seen the water 2 metres deep at the most, and this was after a particularly wet spell. We know it was about 2 metres, as when I got him to stand in the end for a photo to see how deep it was, only the very top of his caving hat was poking out of the water!

The following night, despite more rain, the level was a few feet lower. Not very scientific to quote feet and metres in the same write up I know, but it does seem to drain quite quickly until it gets to just a couple of feet deep.

Yes - we had. And the possible link to Westbury. Even considered the possibility of all three! :LOL:

;)   any chance u could post that photograph of Hughie nearly drowning in the Templeton Pool, just for your pleasure.

Wow, we didn't know we could do that! This is Hughie standing (almost) at the bottom in Templeton. It was ccccold!
