Chesterfield Area. Best way to learn/Which club?

Hi Everyone.

I'm a relatively experienced climber of 10 years, not particularly good up to sort of E1/AD/VI level (to people that means something to)
Do a fair bit of urban exploring too.

I'm 21, and looking to start caving.

I don't have any friends that go already, and am looking for the best way to start?

Course?
Club? (this is what my current prefferred option is)
Buy the gear/use climbing gear, buy a book and go? (don't think this is a good idea)

Could anyone reccommend the best club, if you reckon this is the best way to learn? I live just outside Chesterfield and am happy to travel up to 45 minutes regularly for a decent club.

Many Thanks

Ash

Orpheus have a good hut in the peaks and do a good variety of trips both at weekends and mid-week...google 'em for the official stuff or drop me a PM if you're interested...we've a few chessie based members...

Orpheus and TSG are both good clubs. I live in Nottingham and cave with Orpheus mid week and TSG at weekends.
