Clubs: Past, Present of Future?

Having had a think about this, are there any guidelines to set this up? I fancy trying something, and know a few others that would approve of what I had in mind.

BCA's Membership Administrator is used to prividing help with forming an "acceptable" Club, including - I think - a basic constitution to tweak. Send him an e-mail and I suspect you'll get what you need ... unfortunately, though, he is currently away on holiday so there will be a delay.

I can list a number of clubs that I knew of in the 1980s which have disappeared over the horizon. I can't think of too many that have been formed in the same timescale - I am sure there are some, just that I can't think of any. This is possibly symptomatic of the perceived decline in participation in the sport over the same period. If we are trying to encourage young people to take up the reins within existing clubs, we should also encourage them to set up new clubs if that is what they would prefer to do.
