With namho coming up expected more conversation on here about who is going and general chat ? It appears we are either all miserable or just hate making conversation now aditnow has left us for the past 2 bit years ? I hope we still have some mine explorers on here !

I am unsure of a alternative to a forum other than direct message “phone” or Facebook ? I am not attending namho this year , was a few days to slow booking and the trips left was not super tempting I missed the ones I wanted .

Even FB is passé now. Problem is that replacements used by youngsters are ever more ephemeral.

It is an annual 'conference', i.e. meetup of mine exploration beards types. This year it is at Grosmont.

It is a long weekend of surface and underground trips, and talks.

I went, but rarely check this forum now, for no other reason than I am much busier at work and at home than I used to be. I do miss Aditnow though, I wonder how the rebuild is going?

The conference was great and I thought the trips were all very interesting. Many thanks to all those in organising.

Just got back from the conference and I would agree the above completely. An excellent lecture programme, I enjoyed the underground trip I went on, many familiar faces to say hello to, the weather was good ... and there were steam trains 'at the bottom of the garden' - what more could one want?

Thanks to everyone who came, it was great to have you all here. Only problem was that everyone kept running outside every time a train came.
