Craftsman's Pot history

Craftsman's Pot was explored and surveyed by the DCC and NCC in 1986. A passage at the top of Clock Pitch goes to a small choked chamber named on the survey as "Colins Dig". In NC 1994 (p. 57) this chamber is called "Bequest to the Brave". I need to know when this latter name was coined and, ideally, by who. If it was after 1986 then I think the original name of Colins Dig gets priority.

Thanks,,,,,,,,,,,,Graham

Having had a quick look at the references, the 1st mention of bequest to the brave that I could find was in the wrpc 2001 jnl - maybe that is another avenue to pursue.  beardy

It was a DCC find and DCC/NCC survey. Baz Davies and I were/are both. Yes, that chamber was called Colin's Dig and bequest to the brave was a bit of a joke after a particularly bad rockfall. Anybody who gets into it has my blessing to rename it.
