Sorry I havent read all 19 pages but... CUCC had a good recruitment drive this year about 150 students... although we probably only have 20ish newbies who cave on a regular basis

Makes up for last year when you got, what was it 2? (I think it was CUCC I was told that about, might be wrong, though).

The M.C.G. recently finding a kilometre of large passage in Upper Flood Swallet has done wonders for digs being re-started in the area, I have now heard of four.
Caver numbers have been revitalized around Charterhouse on Mendip :ras:

But the question is this: has there been an increase in the total number of cavers or just an exodus of cavers from other clubs into the ranks of MCG (presumably so they can jump the queue and get into the new extensions sooner rather than later)?

I imagine the Titan footage on TV has resulted in a few (misguided?) people trying to have a "piece of the action".

Which are these WL?

Manor Farm and Timber Hole I know of.

By the way nice to see you back, the forum has been very boring the last few days!

No last year we didnt do so well but still signed up 80ish if i remeber rightly of which we have kept 10/20 of which 7-8 are more hard core cavers.
Cardiff is doing especially well at the moment we just need to keep things going. I know a few other uni clubs are doing well but a few are struggleing

We saw them going in, they looked a bit scared by the hole in the ground gushing with water, not as  scared as one of our freshers though  :-[
