Disto-XBLE issue

Have an issue arisen with a Disto-XBLE edition (Chinese board?). When in session mode (having cleared any previous data) the 'shot counter' in the top right corner of the disto's window no longer displays the number of shots taken. This would usually show a number divisble by seven, if your were doing LRUDs + 3 distance/bearing repeats for each leg.

Instead the window now just displays a dashed line in that screen location. Here is mine compared against the pic in the Disto-X2 manual (2022):

This may just be ignorance of how to reset the Disto-XBLE to display shot count. But I can't work it out despite reference to the old manual and numerous key combo attempts.

Furthermore, it appears that the 'memory' is full. If I click on the 'units' key, this will usually show the number of total readings in memory. This now displays 999, with a floppy-disk icon below it.

Again, I can find no way to clear this cache...which is maybe the reason why the shot-counter isn't displaying in the normal way.

Any suggestions on how to clear this memory, or even reset the device would be welcome. It's a Disto-XBLE.

cheers

I toggle into and out of the view you show by pressing function and units to show your screen then again to toggle back into data collection mode.

Thanks for the replies Ben & Alastair..... I got there, too, after a bit more reading and research! The device was in Silent Mode, and pressing the MEM (data symbol) and FUNC keys together for 2 seconds restored the normal data saving mode.

The floppy disk symbol in silent mode interests me, though - it's not mentioned in the manual, but I assume it means you either have unsaved (i.e. not downloaded) data, or that the devices memory is full. As Ben suggests, a hard reset will clear the whole memory, I believe, but you do have to write the caibration back into the device.

However, all well for the timebeing. Thanks for your help, guys.
