Dixon's Pipe in Seathwaite Wad Mine

Has anybody been down Dixon's Pipe recently, and can give any info on its condition - the state of bolts, in situ ropes etc? Is it definitely passable these days?
Thanks,
Flashheart

The normal route down to Dixon?s is now blocked by a recent fall of spoil that has slumped out of a pipe. The whole area is now very ?fluid? and Dixon?s itself even more hazardous due to water washing spoil down the pipe and blocking the exit.

Please don?t leave fixed ropes on the Grand Pipe. These get damaged by falling rocks and attract the curious but inexperienced, who can get in to a lot of trouble here.

Thanks for the info! It seemed as though the way to the first pitch was accessible via Old Man's Level all the way to the first pitch head, and there seems to be a dug way through the slumped material to exit at the bottom... It's the bit in between that I was wondering about. Sounds like it's all a bit 'dodge'. Good point about the fixed rope on the Grand Pipe!
Cheers,
Flashheart
