Drill Review

Previously UKC favourite Makita DHR165 is lighter than both at 2.5kg but is very L shaped (297x253x79mm) and less powerful (1.3J). Still fun though :)

The L shape makes it pack very compactly because two batteries fit inside the L. The drill and two batteries all wrapped in neoprene will fit in a 7 litre Ortlieb bag.

Lidl are currently selling 20 V SDS+ hammer drills with batteries and chargers separate.  My 18 V one I bought a few years ago was surprisingly good.  Might be worth a punt.
