    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

Well, P-E-A-K and L-A-K-E aren't all that different.  They've both got an E, an A and a K...

I see they use that usual phrase : "These mountains can be explored . . . "

Anyone would think that no-one had ever been there before!

What the?
Mainly sorry for the locals, I?m sufficiently removed in Notts and frankly I?m just as much a tourist in Castleton as a Londoner. Most of us know how to escape the crowds, too. There are plenty of fantastic White Peak dales without the crowds of Dovedale and Lathkill; Kinder North is maybe more popular than it was 10yrs ago but that raises numbers from 10 to 20, Bleaklow is as heavenly peaceful as ever, etc.

But if you live in Castleton or Hathersage? No escape.
