I use the search function on UkC and I like it, helped/entertained me many a time.
I load the forum straight to "unread posts since last visit" zoom in so I can accurately press the 'new' button at the end of the thread title, (of the ones I want to read). Annoys me when you accidently press on the poster, or page one of a ten page thread.

Sorry about the green forum - my fault! It actually should have been blue so not sure what's going on there. I've turned it off for now.
As Jane and Tim have said, we're just testing some new stuff to help it work on mobile devices better. It's been good to hear some feedback and ideas anyway. Unfortunately there are limited options for mobiles - the forum is quite complex and has grown a lot which means that not all features are going to be able to work on mobile devices.
Please bear with us, if you see a change in the next few days/weeks it's probably just testing. We'll make an announcement about any permanent changes.

I think this change was made around the time that the Technically SG got corrected
