Freeze Squeeze - Nettle Pot

Me too. Just cap it. If there's ever a rescue it will take a long time to do it anyway, by which time the casualty could be dead. Would save having a lot of threads like these as well ;)
Na, the tightness of Freeze Squeeze is not really what's stopping DH being dug. More the utter filthy and remoteness, compounded by the scaff logistics.

And if a casualty in DH is about to die, then the time taken to cap FS is not going to make any difference! :ROFLMAO:

Here's a snap of DH for anyone who can't fit. (y)

Beautiful photo. The water and logistics didn't stop us in Redhouse, but it clearly stopped many for the last 33 years. Maybe inspiration for volunteers for a new attack at DH?

For additional data I am pretty much the average caver size wise (can get through ‘tight’ but can’t get through ‘extremely tight’) and I managed without much trouble without an SRT harness. It’s on slippery calcite mud so you just slide through.

I found it easier on the way out but a little scarier as the slant seemed to push you left into the tighter bit.

I did it a couple of years ago, took my SRT kit off but found it very easy to slip through without the kit on. I went through head first with helmet on. I vaguely recall a slight bend in the squeeze so you can curve your body slightly to follow the widest section. For reference, I am of medium size for a 5"3 woman but that does mean that even though I don't have a particularly slim waist, I still benefit from short femurs & narrow shoulders which can help on some squeezes! On other squeezes, my partner (very long femurs, but slimmer waist) fits through more easily than me so I think each squeeze requires a different technique for the individual. While there are some ways that work better for a majority of people, it ultimately comes down to trying different methods and finding what works for you

The last time I did the Heaven squeeze I took a lump out of my back, so decided that was my lower limit in future - and I've seen it three times, so no great loss now.

Great photo....somewhere else I never have to worry about going 👍👍

Needs a well populated long term dig, and sprinkle plenty of corundum in the squeeze. It will soon get ground out 😁👹
