Good ceiling sucking practise?

Yep I've been to the far end of White Scar, that was fun! Although there was enough airspace when we went to tilt your head to the side and only get one ear wet, so didn't have to do any ceiling sucking
Agree, the “standard” route is head on the side, however there are plenty of opportunities to “ceiling suck” just for the sake of practicing. ( proper 1” airspace passages. )

Not really any comparable locations in the Peak District unfortunately, CoH really is a unique place.

A few of the new bits in Cussey/SMMC can be v wet but very few are really ceiling sucking, rather just either unpleasant ducks or actual freedives.

However last night, following some big rain on Tuesday night, the crawl into Dynamite Series in Carlswark was in pretty good condition with only 60mm of airspace. This location has the extra spice of having an awkward manoeuvre as well, what's not to like. :)

In dry conditions the far end of Cliff Force Cave is good? And an interesting place in general.

Echo pot, the first duck (which may sump) that's a good ceiling sucking one, though I may have just held my breath through the real low bits.

See what you think:

If you don't like it, you can did out the debris on the other-side to make it not so desperate on the return.

Having done it yesterday without an ounce of decorum, the double duck in Cherry Tree has got to count as good practice. At the narrowest there are only a couple of inches between rock and water. You have the mid air bell as backup, plus you are only ever a couple of metres at most from exiting the water.

Also, I've cleaned all the foam from the ceiling so you can now comfortably lie on your back without breathing in all that gunk until the next flood.
