Goyden - Limley Pot - rockfall

Tonight we went to have a look down Limley Pot only to find a large boulder jammed near the top. It was about 2 feet x 1 foot x half a foot and pretty much blocking the way. it did look as though it had been thrown in there.
We tried to get it out and I managed to get a sling around it (which involved going in head-first with my mate holding my legs) but I, inadvertently, freed it from it's position and sent it flying down the pitch.
We ran round to the main entrance and to the bottom of the pitch and, thankfully, no-one had been below as some fist-sized chunks had made it to the very bottom. So somewhere up above there's a substantially sized boulder that I can only hope is wedged in securely. We had to leg it due to time so I don't know how safe the rock is or if it's damaged any bolts on the way down.
I will try and get back soon to check things out, but anyone going that way should be aware.

Glad no one was hurt in that incident. Going to the same cave twice in two days would not be much fun hehe.

Well done George for clearing the rock even if you did have a slip. Yes I see it has been taken from the walling around the pot so looks like someone threw it down there probably a walker from the nearby Nidderdale Way unaware how dangerous it could have been.
