Hidden Earth 'salon' competitions at Eurospeleo 2016

The four Hidden Earth 'salon' competitions - Photo Salon, Art Salon, Video Media Salon and the relatively new Survey Salon will all be taking place next year, at EuroSpeleo 2016 (13-20 August 2016 in the Yorkshire Dales, http://eurospeleo.uk).

The concept, with all the salons, is that that they go beyond a mere "competition" and are primarily an opportunity for entrants to exhibit their work to others. We would like to encourage cave photographers, artists and surveyors of all standards to exhibit their work in the salon. As well as a "first prize" the competition judges will be awarding merits and distinctions, and other prizes.

The deadline for entries has not yet been decided, but it will be a few weeks before the event, and it will be via on online form on the EuroSpeleo web site. The rules and guidelines for entrants are expected to be online early next year, but they will be similar to the Hidden Earth rules from previous years, which are online at http://hidden-earth.org.uk/competitions/forms.html
