Has anyone used an iPhone for filming their underground adventures?
I need to upgrade both my phone and the camera I use for making my caving videos, a Lumix GX7, and the question I'm asking myself is, could an upgraded phone double as my caving camera?
The Lumix has always given me very good results.
Here's some video I took recently in the large chamber in Ogof Foel Fawr using my iPhone 11 Pro and just helmet lamps for illumination. I need to know if a later model of iPhone would give better results. Can anyone help, please?

The Lumix has always given me very good results.
- The image quality is excellent, always crisp and sharp,
- It deals extremely well with well-lit and less well-lit areas within a frame and
- the black areas are properly black with no sign of noise.
- I've always been delighted with the results.
- The image quality is good. Close-ups are brilliant, but distant shots tend to be a little grainy.
- It handles the exposure well between the well-lit and the less well-lit areas within a frame (comparable with the Lumix) and
- the black areas stay properly black with very little sign of noise.
- In short it's very good, but not as good as my trusty old Lumix.
