In the newsdesk, read a review of the underground events at Kendal Mountain Festival, plus tales of cannibalism and the Cavefish Asteroid.

In regional news, we have three new connections in Ogof Agen Allwedd, a report on the iron mines of Anjou, an extension to Big Sink Cave in the Forest of Dean, a new dig in Yorkshire's Marble Steps Pot, student parties, an obituary for Tony Boycott, a tight find in the Peak District and a discovery in County Kerry with extensive formations.

More tickets added - including those, 23 left - it will sell out by Friday - which is great news for caving in general, that the Underground Session is now an established and successful part of KMF.

Join us for an evening of caving films and presentations - what better way to spend a dark, cold November evening? (apart from actually going caving of course - but there is the weekend for that 😁 )

I have a couple of tickets in the stalls paid for for this for folk who now can’t make it if any one would like them rather than them miss out. No charge unless you want to. PM me

A great night. 2 super talks. I now know a lot more about the recent expeditions to Peru. Pete is an excellent speaker. Becca's talk was something totally new - comparing and contrasting various aspects of caving expeditions in Europe and SE Asia - cleverly done and fabulous.

A break for the bar...

Then Caver Keith's excellent film. Geoff Yeadon is a legend, there's no more to say.

One of the best Underground Sessions I've been to :)
