Thanks Chris and others who have taken the time and trouble to keep ensuring that people like myself are put in the true picture. Very much
appreciated, sadly it is only a matter of time before something goes seriously wrong with this guy and we will all be reading about him in the papers!

Just literally found out he has history on the UK Climbing website too but I haven't started digging yet, watch this space....

To Bograt, I would be happy to try to set up a meet for you with him (unless he's rumbled that I'm on to him) Just say the word and I will give it my best shot! (no pun intended!)

Hi,

Like both Newbie2013 and Rose I have today been shown this site by my sister. I have basically been fed the same lines as Rose, down to the Sheffield film festival (which is where I actually met him). He comes across as pleasant, caring etc and despite my doubts about the army, believable.

It's good that this site is here, but I feel people should know he told me his surname was 'Spencer'

It`s a windup.
It`s happened several times in the last few years.
Someone (else) has spotted that
a. the concentration span of the average contributor on this forum is quite short
b. not many people bother to read all the posts on a thread before replying
and has decided that now is the time to have a bit more fun.

AH, I see he has reared his ugly head again, this time with another alias, Marshall.

Further to the above, he apparently went missing last week as well, before being traced on the 15th December, before doing a bunk again. Perhaps the police could be persuaded to drop him off somewhere a little more secure?

Police have appealed to walkers for sightings of a man who has gone missing in the Cairngorms.

Andrew Moorhouse is reported to have gone walking alone on forest paths between Aviemore and Coylumbridge and the Cairngorm Mountains.

The 46-year-old Sheffield man is believed to have arrived in Aviemore by public transport late on Saturday.

Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team members have joined the search for the missing walker, who is described as 5ft 9ins (1.75m) tall, stocky build, with red to greying short hair, dressed in outdoor clothing and carrying a backpack. Police Scotland said Mr Moorhouse speaks with an English accent.

A spokesperson said: ?Police are urging anyone in the area, particularly walkers and cyclists in rural locations, to keep a look out for a male matching Andrew?s description and to report any sightings via 101.

?Similarly, if you have any information that could assist officers in tracing Andrew please make contact as a matter of urgency, quoting ?Storm? incident 5422 of 15 June 2019.?

And again

Police in the Lake District have appealed for sightings of a man who sparked a similar alert in Scotland three months ago.

Cumbria Constabulary said it was concerned for the welfare of Andrew Moorhouse who was last seen on Monday in the area.

The last known sighting of the 47-year-old was about 9.50pm on Lake Road, Keswick.

A police spokesperson said: ?It is believed Andrew went walking in the Keswick area.?

He is described as white, 5ft 11ins (1.80m) tall with short hair and a ginger beard. He was last seen wearing a yellow Gore-Tex jacket, black trousers, black cap and carrying a large rucksack.

Police said: ?Anyone with information should contact police on 101. Officers would also like to urge Andrew to contact this number if he sees this appeal.?

In June this year, Mr Moorhouse, of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, was reported missing in the Aviemore area. Police Scotland and Cairngorm Mountain Rescue mounted a search for the man, who was believed to have gone walking alone on forest paths between Aviemore and Coylumbridge and the Cairngorm Mountains.

Two days later, officers said Mr Moorhouse had been found safe and well.
