Police in the Lake District have appealed for sightings of a man who sparked a similar alert in Scotland three months ago.
Cumbria Constabulary said it was concerned for the welfare of Andrew Moorhouse who was last seen on Monday in the area.
The last known sighting of the 47-year-old was about 9.50pm on Lake Road, Keswick.
A police spokesperson said: ?It is believed Andrew went walking in the Keswick area.?
He is described as white, 5ft 11ins (1.80m) tall with short hair and a ginger beard. He was last seen wearing a yellow Gore-Tex jacket, black trousers, black cap and carrying a large rucksack.
Police said: ?Anyone with information should contact police on 101. Officers would also like to urge Andrew to contact this number if he sees this appeal.?
In June this year, Mr Moorhouse, of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, was reported missing in the Aviemore area. Police Scotland and Cairngorm Mountain Rescue mounted a search for the man, who was believed to have gone walking alone on forest paths between Aviemore and Coylumbridge and the Cairngorm Mountains.
Two days later, officers said Mr Moorhouse had been found safe and well.
