You've summed it up pretty well.

I am not aware of any great pressure for access. Very few people ask what is happening. There are plenty other things to be doing. Loss of access to any site is regrettable, but these things happen. How often do people ask when access will be possible again at Sludge Pit or Nine Barrows Swallet?

And What about The Lamb Hole?
I might be too old when the present owner sells or snuffs it.
I was banking my hopes on The Butcher's but heard nowt this year.
