New kit donated to the team by Spanset

Recently the team have been in need of some replacement lifting strops for our engineering kit. We have winches and hydraulic equipment to deploy if we ever need to move around really big things on a rescue call out, and strops are used around rocks to allow us to safely move them. Our previous slings had reached the point of needing replacement, so we contacted local firm SpanSet for a quote for some new kit. The next day, much to our unexpected delight, a set of new strops were kindly donated to us by them.
The donation was organised by Pete (Wardy) at SpanSet, and delivery was very easy because DCRO team member Pete (K) is also a freelance trainer at Spanset?s HQ in Middlewich. He was able to hand deliver the strops to our very own Equipment Officer Pete (D) at the team base this weekend. They have already been logged in, marked up and are ready to deploy along with our engineering kit.

DCRO would like to take this opportunity to thank the folks at SpanSet Ltd for their generosity.
We really appreciate any donations, however large or small, as like many volunteer teams around the UK, our fundraising activities have been heavily reduced this year due to the virus.
DCRO is made up of volunteers and our services and equipment are entirely funded by donations. We are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For details about us and how you can support the team, see https://derbyshirecro.org.uk/. If you would like to join or support us (even if you are not called Pete), then get in touch.
