Found this FB post from someone with a topo for a new route in the entrance of Bull Pot Kingsdale (7 Petzl 10mm bolts). Presumably not an official CNCC installation?

Via ferrata is definitely the way to go on *all* SRT trips. Staples and fixed wires everywhere please.

I attempted a Diccan pull through a few years ago. If anyone’s interested in trying then I don’t recommend it! It was extremely wet and there was too much drag to pull the rope through. I’m sure it could be done, but would probably require quite a bit of faffing around.

I guess there’s many arguments both ways..
I’m surprised that they didn’t consider getting cncc to install bolts on this route. P bolts have a longer lifespan (as I understand it), plus there is then a pre-existing system/body to monitor and replace the bolts as necessary giving me/other users a bit more confidence to use them.

*awaits being shot down for not being experienced/hard enough to be able to just judge the bolts as I go.. when this is clearly not what I’m saying*
