New to Weardale

So here I am in Stanhope having moved from Snowdonia Wales for my new job. I've done a lot of cave exploration (slate copper and lead) back in wales and am SRT proficient. Suppose what I am trying to say is are there any caving clubs nearby that I can join and meet other like minded sun dodgers?

Hi Robin

I live in Shotley Bridge so just over the hill from you really, we're active pretty much every weekend and in the summer a couple of nights a week as well.  Theres a trip planned up the dale tomorrow if you're interested?

Theres not much SRT stuff required but we're currently surveying for new caves and finding an awful lot so feel free to get in touch, we also organise trips out of the region when everyone can get away.
