Observations on CNCC meeting

Have followed your advice and have contacted Les directly in an attempt to clarify the situation.

I received a reply from Les Sykes within a couple of hours of contacting him so no complaints whatsoever on that score.

I have refrained from posting his response until I had his express permission to do so.

He has now made the following statement and is perfectly happy for it to be posted in full on this forum;

In 1999 I said that I had had enough and I have made it clear each year since then that I wished for someone else to do the role, so the answer is NO, I have no intention of seeking re-election as CNCC secretary.

Democracy in the CNCC - brilliant idea.

One thing that I've noticed is that the member clubs of CNCC have differing sizes.
Yet each member club that bothers to attend a CNCC meeting appears to have the same voting rights, namely 1.

The Earby appears to have 35 members, whereas the Bradford has about 150+ and the South Wales has 300+ members.
Perhaps voting on the basis of 1 vote for each BCA caving member + 1/3 for each BCA non-caving member might be more more equitable?

Excellent idea   Might upset those who've managed to seize and consolidate their power by forming their own clubs!

As I tell you continually, exsumper, BCA is not CNCC. The comments I (and graham) think you must be referring to are in Appendix 3, which is a report from CNCC to BCA.

I've not said otherwise! A'll I wish to know is why the BCA are pushing a similar agenda?
