Oddmire ropes

Does anyone know what the ropes in oddmire pot just at the bottom of the entrance pitch are up to, or where/how far they go? I can't see anything about them in the black book or on the survey on cavemaps.org.
I thought it was nice to stick to the trip on the way in, and had no beans for an explore on the way out...

Cheers. I heard the ropes might be a bit on the old side (20+ years). Happy digging to anyone working down there!

I don't think it was as long as 20 years since they went in. Checked and Oct 2016 would be about right.
One way probably heading into known cave just downstream but other way could be worth a punt for anyone interested. Or even capture entrance water and pipe it to where needed to wash it all lovely and clean. Probably the simplest and most efficient use of time.

The new bit is not on the original survey and has not yet been surveyed if anyone want's to take that on, go for it.

Ahh that was the same trip where a number of us went to the far end of the cave and scaled an aven near Dementor sump, another lead up there after about 100 ft of new passage, if I recall. I never went up there myself as I did not have my SRT kit with me at that point, but I believe it ends in a sand choke so could be dug.

That would require me to get past the boireau falls squeeze...

Coming down the entrance there was a good length of bit flexible pipe. I didn't see where it came from or went to, but washing out those digs would make sense.
