Oversuits and wellies

How do you wear your oversuit?

If I'm going to suffer wearing wellies on a trip I want them to mostly keep water out. If I don't care about keeping water out, as I'm usually wearing wetsocks anyway, I'll wear some old running shoes I don't mind trashing.

I always put small drain holes in my wellies, mainly it makes it easier to get them off by preventing suction with my wetsuit socks. I use a small drill bit and drill a holed in each welly below where my foot arch would be. I don't mind getting water in them and the holes allow any water to drain away quickly anyway (as well as letting the water in).
