They can send them round but they can't remove goods from your house unless of course you let them in, they can't force their way in.....Next news you will have a private bailf at your door.
Pay up or they remove goods to the value of the debt.

If you do not play ball with these people, they sell the debt.

Pay up or they remove goods to the value of the debt.Pointless being violent the law is on their side.
Some bad advice being given out here.

Your reference XXXX
I refer to your invoice dated 10 August 2009, a copy of which is attached.
I was not the driver of the car at the time of the alleged incident and your assertion that the Registered Keeper is liable for parking fines relating to parking on private property is incorrect in law.
I am therefore returning your invoice unpaid and consider the matter to be closed.
Yours faithfully"

dunc said:"protecting their business interests" - the pub (I'm guessing as I don't know the exact opening times) was possibly shut and it's not as if people parking in their car park are occupying all the spaces that customers would otherwise occupy! If however people were parked there when the pub was open then yes they are protecting their interests which is fair enough, bit of common sense really.
True, although there's only 8 rooms and there's far more parking spaces than that.Even if the bar is closed, they may wish to have room in their car park for guests...

Peter Burgess said:Was there ever a time, many years ago, when the jovial publican would pop out, put a friendly note on the windscreen asking nicely for the driver to park elsewhere, and then said driver on reading the friendly note popped into the pub, expressed genuine sorrow at having transgressed, and that was the end of the matter? Said caver often returned because of the civilised way his transgression had been handled, and the two often met of an evening exchanging pleasantries and quaffing good ale?
If my paltry business isn't worthy then it shall go elsewhere, in fact now I've said that it reminds me that the service in the Sheaf on my last visit was less than satisfactory which proved they want food consumed not worthless shit eating crisps and having a pint. Let them have their full restuarant.I'd far rather keep my parking free for a full house in the restaurant than a small gaggle of grumpy cavers who don't even have the decency to ask and might possibly have a pint and a packet of crisps!!!
We mostly do up north, just not got the right to descend a cave on said landjust as they have the right to cross anybody's land whenever they like ..
