In times of near drought does the percentage of biological content emerging at a ressurgence increase?
So if you relied on a sring for your drinking water, would it become, near undrinkable in very low flow? :yucky:

Possibly yes, depending on the source. read Roger Stenner's various papers on Mendip cave water in UBSS Proc & Cave & Karst Science.

I know Fiona was recently diving Ludwell Resurgence, has it dried up yet?
I went there ten years ago with Andy Farrant and it had all but dried up.
This must surely be The Summer for non-divers to attempt to get up virtually dried up resurgences

I doubt it! My local reservoir (Ravensthorpe) was over-topping last Sunday, and others in the Anglia Water region (supposedly the driest) Pitsford 85%, Graffam 95% full.

But it is hot - 99 degrees on Wednesday at Pitsford School (unfortunately not a Met Office site - so no 'official' July record)

Of course, a large proportion of the rain this year has been in the form of showers, so it could be vastly different in other areas.

My daughter and I cycled along The side of the Thames this week, unbelievably clean looking.
Also still full to the brim.
Why is it so clean, used to be murky, when I were a lad. :-\
