Pot!

Three of us were involved with some scout leader training in Giants today, in the roof of the entrance passage leading to Upper West Passage, when a group of three cavers passed underneath. The smell of cannabis from at least one of them was almost overpowering. Certainly gave us a new slant on pot holing! It lingered for several minutes, so perhaps a new hazard to consider along side the radon?

Complaining for complaining sake - get a hold of yourself pal.

To be honest Oscar, given the language used it the original post, I read it as more of an observation than a complaint. And even if it was a subtle complaint, it's not complaining for complaining sake; phizz absolutely has the right to complain - believe it or not, not everyone wants to smell it.

It is complaining for complaining sake because there’s nothing that can be done about it - slight smell of weed in a publicly accessible place isn’t the end of the world.

Winging about it online isn’t going to make a difference - what do you want to do? Send in the cave police?

Moderator Comment: OK - let's keep things civil and have a reasonable discussion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I wasn't complaining, it was an observation, made in what I hoped was a light hearted way, as something in my very sheltered 50 years of caving that I had never, knowingly, encountered before. I've encountered it driving along the road and being overtaken by cars emmiting more cannabis fumes than petrol fumes though.
