Qualified Cave Leader required to join the team at Longtown OLC

We need a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Cave Leader to join the Longtown team in 2023.

Longtown Outdoor Learning Centre has been leading groups of children, young people and adults underground in the caves of South Wales since 1964. Originally owned by Northamptonshire County Council, we are now an independent charity with a passion for developing character and resilience through outdoor adventures. We work with children from many different areas of England and Wales and operate 2 bursary schemes to ensure that the opportunities can be afforded by all.

Our 70 bed residential centre is based in the upland village of Longtown (HR2 0LD) on the eastern edge of the Black Mountains with easy access to the whole of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Forest of Dean and Wye Valley AONB. Caving, gorge walking, hill walking, paddling and rock climbing are all available at local venues.

Our onsite facilities include a Woodland, Canoeing pool, Climbing Tower and High Ropes course.

Salary scale £19,451 - £30,172 dependent on qualifications and experience.
