In a similar vein, cavers may also like to consider applying for a grant from the long-running DCA Cave Discovery Fund, which aims to facilitate the discovery of new caves and cave passages (and mines in certain circumstances) in the Peak District and associated areas - see https://thedca.org.uk/about/cave-discovery-fund/ to see if your dig/proposed dig qualifies.
