Response to BBC Ultimate Caving...

Thought it was pretty good, even though I wasn't going to watch it. Still wouldn't be interested in free diving 2 (but then I am a coward)! As good an advert for caving as has been on telly for a long time - didn't think about it pre-programme, but not surprised Gavin was involved. Another good effort. When do we get to confirm the 32D comment? ;) ::)

Fantastic (y) (y) (y) both presenters did great and as for the quotes "terrifing" and "burried alive" try to remember your first time underground probably all felt the same way at some point, also I bet your first 4 caves wern't as challenging, mine definatly not (Goatchurch,Sidcot,Lionels etc.) Also take my helmet of to steve for sump 2 I've had a look but turned back.

Just one question for now having never done the long crawl is it as hardcore as it looks? If so wow

Missed it, I was underground  :(
Don't worry, it was only a bit of caving. No mine exploring involved.
No mine exploring? But it said Ultimate on the box?
Oh well a darkplace is a darkplace they are all good.

No. Couple of narrow(ish) sections but otherwise all very do-able. In fact, I can barely recall much more about it but remember most of the rest of the trip so it was pretty much a non-event, I guess. Also it's only 100m so doesn't really count as "long".

The crew did a good job of lighting Titan  (y)

Yes, very impressive; I'd like to see Rhino done similarly, with a good stance from the Right Hand Route - doubt it'll happen, though TBH (and it's only half the height, approx).

Creative filming/editing then cause it looked a bloody nightmare

Oh, it is; but you get used to it after the first 5 metres or so, the rest is just more of the same. Once you're in your stride, it's pimpsy but arduous.

I expect it wasn't so bad as it looked, unless you meet a film crew coming the other way.
