Seeking advice about Pridhamsleigh

Zander

New member
Hello
I'm Zander, from the recently re-established Lancaster University Speleological Society. I'm going to be in Devon on the weekend of 15th December. I'm hoping to take some friends for a look round Pridhamsleigh. They are complete novices.

Any advice for a fun trip would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Go in, explore, have fun. You don't really need much more advice for Prid than that I reckon

It's really muddy and slippery in places!

Don't waste time wandering around Little Pridhamsleigh when you enter the entrance. The main way is not immediately obvious as a low crawl although better trodden than it was half a century ago.  Also finding the Lake (the high point) can be a challenge. You don't necessarily keep going down (it is a phreatic maze remember). Also water levels vary so one route may be flooded although depending how flooded might increase the entertaiment.

Have fun.
