CavefestUK Skydive for Charity appeal

Its a great cause, and as cavers, we appreciate the importance of cave rescue and its valiant volunteers.
Cavers helping avers, so let's return the favour and do them proud.

We have a target of £1000 and we are a quarter of the way there, so please, if you can, dig deep and support a worthy cause.

Thank you.

Its just over 24hrs to go before Matty takes to the skies.
We will be at Honiton airfield at 12 noon to encourage him along the way. I'm pretty sure he's gonna be a little scared.

Unless the weather decides otherwise, and we will know by 4pm today, the 25th March if its postponed, Matty will jump at 15000ft, and we're gonna film every little bit of it.
No pressure then.........

More updates today at 5pm.

Unfortunately, Buzz Skydive have postponed the jump today due to poor weather forecast and cloud cover. Safety first everyone.

We will of course update you all with a new date once re booking has been completed.

Don't Worry Matty, we will throw you out another day. Hehee

Here we go again.
Just 2 days to go before the re attempt of the big jump.

Well I must admit, this is beginning to weigh me down.

Not the best of news, but we can all agree,
Safety first.

It's finally happened.
Our brave, and rather chilled volunteer, Matty Dredge, (Mendip Caving Group) has successfully completed his Skydive in aid of charity.
As you all know, we are supporting Cave Rescue. More specifically, Mendip Cave Rescue.
We have all caved in the area at one time or another, and if you haven't, you should. We do so knowing that our heroes and heroins of the underground are there, ready to react and come to our aid should we need it.
These intrepid cavers do all this as volunteers and function as they do with donations and fundraising events like this.
Without these people, our beloved sport would have even more risks involved, and we thank Cave Rescue for being there.
Please, if you can, follow the link below to donate on our Gofundme appeal,

Please also take time to have a look at the Mendip Cave Rescue website and remind yourselves just what they do for us.

The video is also available to view either on YouTube

Or of course on the CavefestUK website.

Special thanks to Buzz Skydive for making this possible.

We are half way to our target and we are very grateful for everyone who has dug deep and donated to help us raise money for Cave Rescue.
Every little helps, and if you can, please donate.
Supporting the heroes of the underground.
Thank you.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated towards the CavefestUK Skydive appeal for Mendip Cave Rescue.

We managed to raise an impressive £565.

Without the support from fundraisers and donations, the Heroes of the underground simply wouldn't be able to be there for us. So once again.
Thank you all.

Neil.

Thank you once again to everyone who donated towards the Heroes of the underground Skydive appeal.
We managed to raise an impressive £565 for
Mendip Cave Rescue.
Matty Dredge, (our jumper) made it up to The Hunters Lodge Inn, (The center of the universe) to meet Martin Grass, (Chairman of the MCR) to formally hand over the raised funds.
You managed to make a difference together, and we thank you for that.
Here's to the Heroes of the Underground.
