It's a conspiracy, he's answering other people's questions before mine. woe is me. feel sorry for me. i'll keep posting every 3 minutes till someone mentions Hitler!

Oh! wait, someone already mentioned the Holocaust!

in fact it was you who mentioned it. you seem remarkably keen to stop people discussing this issue . why are you so desperateto close down debate , most of are adults and can handle a variety of opinions , why cant you?

Must say slightly puzzled that the lads got that far into the cave in bare feet and wearing
local dress which is like a dress.Just saying ,not agreeing with our journalist friend for one moment .

As I understand it the river that rises to flood the cave system is reasonably close to the entrance. I would imagine that, on returning to the entrance on their way out, they found it flooded/rising and were "chased" back further into the cave than they would have initially been intending?

No, you are not making sensible points, you are just spouting bollocks.

Quite a few people on here are close friends of the people who are out in Thailand risking their lives to try to save those kids. There are very real risks which remain for both the rescuers and the people who are trapped. I am sure I am not alone in finding your stupidity pretty offensive so don't be surprised when people react in kind.

Yes, our journalist is complaining about being abused but is, maybe unknowingly, abusing all the rescuers who are out their risking their lives. What kind of journalism is this anyway?!

i have no idea who these people are and have no wqay of knowing how honest they are. and I am allowed to question events . I find people who use your tactics to close down debate offensive, its an attack on free speech , if you are not interested in this thread then no need comment on a thread I started . i also put up a poll that shows that two other people have at leasr SOME doubts about this story , as such I would ask you from refraining from abuse and to accept my right to my OWN analysis

I'm not censoring your comments at all, I've engaged, explaining that they're probably that deep because they were forced back by rising flood waters. Most rescues, unsurprisingly, happen to under-prepared groups who don't know the risks, so I wouldn't be too surprised about the football team/coach aspect. It sounds like a bit of a scouts-group style trip, quite a nice idea. I sincerely hope that the rest of the rescue goes well; there are a lot of very worried people on here at the moment, so maybe wait until the ordeal is over to continue your investigation.

ok but as i am claiming this is a scripted event the result will also be scripted. i simply cant see barefoot children going 4km into a caving system without equipment ( or even with equipment) I will make no further comments on this thread . I am not a caving expert I agree ( cue wise guy jobes) but I am a scuba diver, have often been to Thailand and am a middle aged man who has developed critical thinking skills ) all i ask is that you are prepared to at least CONSIDER that this event is scripted , kids, football, world cup, heroes, rescue etc

thats all I am asking, we must always be ready to consider alternative explanations , not sure why you guys have such a huge problem with that but this is my last comment here anybody who wishes to discuss this issue via skype etc can private message me

to answer a question semi-reasonably, what equipment are you expecting them to wear? a neo-furry and PVC oversuit? wellies and marigolds?

the caves in SE asia are pretty damn warm. Those used to trekking on the terrain around here will wear sandals/flip flops no problem on sections that those around the world wouldn't dare to.

As somebody else has mentioned, of course they were underprepared/ill-advised/misguided to go in at this time, but most people who are rescued are, it's kinda why they're being rescued.

I don't understand the comments about the football team, world cup, england, heroes nonsense.. have you had one too many?

You started this thread to see if anyone else shared your insane opinion about it being a set up, I think you've found the answer to your question, even indirectly in sarcastic responses, now kindly do us all a favour and crawl back into the hole you came from (definitely pun intended)

I would take exception to that presumption, The scout teams that I know are better prepared than most trips underground from other cavers. Our team caves with scouts mainly in mendips and judging by the rigging seen from many cavers they would not get a permit to take scouts caving. please think carefully when making such statements which are simply ill advised.
