[split] Rescue in Thailand - trolling posts

If this is post is genuine, it seems in very poor taste as the children are still underground and in no way safe.

If this is a wind up, as above but in ever worse taste.

Pegasus. Is this an existing poster taking the piss or a genuine new poster?

Either way. Please remove.

(Or store, and reopen IF there is a successfull outcome!)

I think it is very insensitive for someone to say that it's a conspiracy.

Please could you outline the "tick boxes" you state that mean such?

so far I have:
1) a football coach isntgoingto take 12 children into a cave complex in the rainy season 4km in without equipment duringthe world cup.
2) the children seemed rather calm for people who had been stuck in a cave for 9 days
3) the lighting did not seem sufficient
4) dont two rescue cavers take energy bars, lights , thai language emergency laminated instructions,
5) having two English guys pop out of water in a border region ofThailand would seem like ghosts to local people
6) why was the 25 year old ' team coach' not at the front

Shall we start from the top?

1- I've read somewhere on the internet that the cave is "safe" from November to June. The rainy season starts sometime in June.

2- The best way to conserve energy is to stay calm, if you get panicked then you will likely run out of energy. (if you panicked for 10 days, I think you'd be a nervous wreck)

3- all of the people being rescued will have been without light, even if they've been conserving light then they will have run out after 10 days. Theres a cave in the Ukraine which became home to Jews escaping the Holacaust, I've heard a talk about it, but I believe there is also a film. The individuals spent months and years without light to avoid detection, it is possible, the guy I heard talking about it was one of your fellow countrymen.

4- What about the lights on their heads?.
Energy bars, they're no good, a good fryup is much better, then you don't need to eat till you've returned from the water.
emergency laminated instructions. There is nothing more impersonal than handing people who have been alone and frightened a sheet of paper and telling them to read it. Their eyes simply will not adjust that quickly, and you will likely frighten them.

5- yes, Ghosts' but not implausible if you've been beyond a wall of water petrified that you might die if someone doesn't find you.

6- I couldn't make out where the coach was, but if I were a young boy, I would be more intrigued than an older coach by bubbles emerging from the water. I would want to be at the front. It can only be the rescue team.

thanks for the reply, it was the only sensible and non abusive one i received

Nobody is attacking you personally, just the theory you are suggesting There is a separation between a person and their ideas; none of this is abuse. My mates take the piss out of some of the things I believe in.

and what will a succesful outcome look like? the kids emerging, what I am saying is this event is almost certainly faked , howver I dont know how they scripted it so dont know what is being planned , fact that you gang up on me says it all , i am not obliged to believe BS just because it makes you feel virtuos

you are assuming the state is incapable of organising such events , that is simply not true , study history please , Northwoods, Mockingbird, Gladio , Paperclip , this type of event is designed to be a feel good event , the government wil take the credit for pulling out all teh stops to save the children . at the very least concede that it is POSSIBLE that the government can stage events or are you saying the Reichstag fire was really started by a dutch communist with learning difficulties?

i am not a troll, i am a new user who was hoping to get some mature feedback from cave diving experts , instead i have received abuse and BS about Elvis and Lizards . deal with these issues in a sensible fashion and there is nothing disrepctful in suggesting that the news gets faked or do you still insist that  Saddam had WMD?

How can you tell the difference between a real troll who denies that they are (they always will) and someone falsely accused of being a troll, who will also deny that they are.

Must say slightly puzzled that the lads got that far into the cave in bare feet and wearing
local dress which is like a dress.Just saying ,not agreeing with our journalist friend for one moment .

apparently they left their bicycles at the entrance to the cave complex , not a sensible thing to do , what about their football kit and other items was that just left at cave entrance too? and surely fee tand knees  would be cut while crawling through narrow tunnels , this is why cavers wear protective equipment , another issue is that the media describe tunnels as narrow but at least one of the 'rescuers' is overweight , surely caving ( ye i know its called spelunking) a big advantage is to be slim . as i say I am not seeking conflict and would appreciate a lack of wise guy answers . ( ridicule is often used to shut down debate )

What's more believable: People went into a cave wearing football kit and sandals, or the thai government wants a feel-good story so arranged for hundreds or thousands of people, including random blokes from the UK, to be in on the act?

By the way, when the media describes a passage as tight this can mean a lot of things, sometimes a 'tight' passage can be 3 feet wide and not tight at all. And lots of cavers are not slim :p I have done wet UK caves in shorts and sandals but as far as I know there was no international conspiracy behind it!

i am making sensible points , i am not being abusive , why is questioning things regarded as trolling anyway ?

back again for some more? why wont you go away!

I've used 1-6 already, so i'll have to use a new system.

i) they left their bicycles at the entrance to the cave complex , not a sensible thing to do
ii) what about their football kit and other items was that just left at cave entrance too?
iii) fee tand knees  would be cut while crawling through narrow tunnels , this is why cavers wear protective equipment
iv) the media describe tunnels as narrow
v) at least one of the 'rescuers' is overweight

i- Bicycles are better left at the entrance, it would be pretty hard to carry a bicycle through a cave, and largely pointless.
ii- Football kit and other items, what happens if they get stolen. I assume they don't want to buy two sets of kit, so look after it and hide it (or take it) further into the cave.
iii- if you're carefully caving then it could be fine, also the cave floor could be made entirely of sediment or a sandy looking floor and therefore it just like walking on a beach. I know about as much as you. But I do know that we've got some sandy areas here in Derbyshire like in Treasury sump. Has anyone made a sandcastle yet in there?
iv- The media always describes caves as narrow or tight, this could mean that the cave divers cannot use scooters round the corner (like James Bond) and therefore it's seen as a constriction. I know as much as you do.
v- You're belittling people you know nothing about. You wouldn't walk up to someone on the highway and say they're fat, otherwise it would take you all day to get anywhere. I guess that's only if you had sidewalks, I think some places in the US are devoid of sidewalks. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The people you're talking to and about know more than you would care to imagine. Shall we find a hole for you to go into and find out?

Ps. rules of the internet dictate that when Hitler is mentioned the topic is closed. Know your memes and laws troll.

its not what is or is not 'believable ' it is what is or is not true , and yes it is possible that the government could arrange things, those of you who are Maons for example are sworn to secrecy . i daresay you though the Gulf of Tonin incident really took place , years after the event the US government admitted it was staged as a pretext to get the US to invadeVietnam . but dont take my word for it, look it up yourself

It would make a really good photo for the competition.

if you dont want to participate then stay away , others may be prepared to honestly discuss this issue even if you resort to stupid abuse and memes
