f*** knows - St George wasn't even English, so I've never quite understood the whole thing myself...

Happy st Georges day yourself. :)

I too, dont really get St's days. I think they hark back to an era before my time. Its seems these days its just an excuse for a piss up. A few people from work are using it as an excuse to take the afternoon off and go on the razz.

I think this is all down to Guiness's amazing advertizing/marketing team.
funny how St patricks day is a massive celebration in england. :?

What we need is John Smiths to get right behind St georges day. But like you say bubba St George wasnt even english -

He was welsh wasnt he Huw. Or are you too ignorant to know that

When is St. Georges day?

 There was nothing 'Happy' about St. Georges day when I was in the Scouts.... Forced to march around Sheffield City Centre in the wind and rain wearing a daft uniform and saluting at some old c*nt of a Mayor, and then some ridiculous religious ceremony for a full afternoon...

I'd rather be on the razz :alky:

Its today.

Actually he was thought to be roman - not welsh.
