Very unexpected.

Had another bash at the dig this evening, after about ten minutes the floor disappeared revealing a water worn rift with clean washed boulders.

In a small hole just below my foot in the pic, rocks clatter down for some distance.

Cant tell how big it is and daren't go into it, as the stuff above is quite loose.

Will have another crack tomorrow afternoon.

Keep the updates coming - fascinating!  Half of me is envious of you having your very own cave and the other half is glad I don't have one under the house - which I can hear from the lounge  :doubt:

Had another session with John Beck today, shifted all the loose muck from above and its fairly stable now,

Dug down in the floor and encountered some large boulders that will need some persuasion.

Really nice fluted scalloped walls and a few straw stalactites in an alcove to the West.

There is an undercut just below a big boulder in the floor and some quite large rocks disappeared through and sound to be rolling down a rubble slope for some distance.

Starting to look like a real cave now, next trip could be an exciting one

Now I'm really getting jealous :)

Got rid of most of the big rock but still quite a bit left.

Can't see properly but I stuck a camera in the hole and this is what I got.
