How is having google ads harbouring dot.com dreams? That's a pretty cynical and unrealistic attitude. Setting up and maintaining a website takes time and money. Why shouldn't people try to cover their costs? A few google ads isn't going to make anyone in the caving arena any significant amount of money; let's be realistic.dave_the_cave said:I know people who set up web pages for trip reports, but harboured dot.com dreams and finally settled for google adverts.
What exactly is a "forum magasine" (sic), or "the forum record" ?dave_the_cave said:Since published articles read better than most trip reports -- forum magasines are the next step. Actually they might fit my needs better than the forum record.
