Does anyone know if there is a more recent survey of yockenthwaite pot than the uwfra one on cave maps.org ?

There is a description including the extensions in Caves and Karst of the Yorkshire Dales (Vol2) (p455), which includes a reference to

Long, H. 1972. Yockenthwaite Pot. Brit. Spel. Assoc. Bull., 5, 7-9

The same is referenced in NFTFH as an account of the extensions.

I don't know if a survey is included (!) but perhaps an account from the time is a starting point (?).

Prob of no help whatsoever, but here's a sketch I drew of the extensions, consider it grade 1.

Cheers, I'll dig out the BSA article and see what is what.

That's pretty impressive Alex! I'm glad the bit I had 'fun' in is marked as 'tight rift'.

I think I drew that in pain according the modified date it was 2014. That rift certainly is the crux of the cave, also quite scary getting into the darn thing. It's what stopped my first trip there when I was solo as I wanted to someone to pull me out lol.

I haven't made it past it. I got to the corner after much effort but couldn't turn around to carry on. Stood there for a while then posted back through. Going back was much less drama

The first part was the tightest bit if I recall, once you are stood in that corner, it should be a little easier to get through the next bit, but maybe I am remembering it wrong.

Yeah, I couldn't work out how to spin round in the corner. I might not have been trying my hardest because I wasn't looking forward to the return though.

Also forgot to say, the new CNCC bolts were much appreciated, thanks to those who bolted it and the CNCC for providing the bolts.
