OK then.....

Bottoms, with First Lady, before fixing "Stop".  ( 10, 4 )

Further clue time then: its the name given to a small group of Dales caves, some of which have their own individual name....

Hmmmm  methinks I have overcooked this one so one further clue: then, if no one gets it, I'll hand it over to someone else.

They are in NC3.........

Well, I've perused the index of NC3, and assuming the 2nd word is POTS, the only candidate I can find is Angerholme Pots, but I can't see that has owt to do with your clue.  No doubt I'm missing something....

Tailbridge (aka Tailbrigg) Pots? The first bit partly fits and the count is right.

The only other one that fits the word count that I could find on line was Silverband pots  but I can't fit it to the clue

Perhaps you need the actual book with the actual index to search - it is there! And is also there in the index for the 1994 edition of NC3.....

FFS, fancy nobody being able to figure out these popular caving destinations!

Sleets Gill, a place where I misspent my youth.

Good clue

Whilst it features in PU, this place is obscure:

How about Twin Bottom Scar Caves?  (although in my 1947 edition of PU it's spelt Twinbottom).

They are the ones Trogger. Sorry about the spelling mistake - you are correct, although the OS map shows two words.

You'd have to be mentally deranged to opt for this one in wet weather (9,3).    (Suppose that could apply to a lot of caves!).
