By way of something completely different....

"Eh ho - beware of sailors!"  (9,6)

By "something completely different", I meant it's not in the Dales.  If that helps.

Trogger - yes, a well-known cave

Roger - don't think so, it's not the answer anyway.  Not sure I follow your thinking....

Yes  :clap2: :clap2:

At last!  I almost had to spell it out, with a 'point'er being E(ast)
Still, I suppose it is a little-known cave in an obscure region...   :)

All yours, Andy

In brief, if you're feeling a bit peckish you could end up with one of these...  (5,4,7)

Sorry, rubbish clue, so here's another:

Still a deafening silence out there after a week - thought it would be easy too.  So here's a modified clue:

"A-maze-ing place, up N, but initially if you're feeling peckish you may prefer this."   (5,4,7)

Had to think really hard about that one - the a-maze- ing bit gave me the idea, and then the initially bit made sense.

Anyway, here's where Aiwendil acquired Nwosih. (9, 7).

Time for a clue?  Identify that character (Google?) and a Yorkshire caver should be able to work out the second bit.
