A Gallo-Roman hillfort in Rhineland-Palatinate, on a steep rock formation above the forest. The name "Drachenfels" means "dragon rock" - it refers to the dragon of the Nibelungen legend. In the rock there are two caves - the "Drachen H?hle " and the "Drachenkammer". Beneath the rock a legendary well can be visited - the "Friedrichsquelle".
