As you may be aware [news to me 
] we have been working along Hafod Road as part of the ?tie in? to the new road system below Brynmawr Foundation School.
During our recent work we have exposed an area of mine workings which are in need of additional treatment, we have been working with Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council to agree the work to be carried out.
The emergency repairs will commence on Wednesday 28th of September with an expected programme of three weeks. Unfortunately Hafod Road will have to be closed to vehicles during the remedial work, pedestrian and cycle access will be retained.
