Leeds Lodging Laspe
« on: January 25, 2018, 01:09:08 pm »
If I put the same amount of effort into organising as alliteration I wouldn't have this problem.

ULSA are coming to Wales but we've hit a bit of a snag due to the popularity of caving. We've got 15 bunks at the SWCC booked but 30 people turning up. I've checked the other caving huts of the region and the Pwll Ddu Adventure Centre as well at the Tyle Morgrug Cottage near the Wesminster and their all booked up.

If anyone knows of places we could check. I'm all ears.

Yes you can definitely camp there, loads of flat ground I've done it in the past.

We've asked them about that but the there's a limit for the sake of the common areas. There's another 25 people staying there not including us.

Pretty decent campsite at Dan yr Ogof itself.
And don't forget the Chelsea hut, Whitewalls on Llangattock.
Is ut the Croydon hut at Ystradfellte? That would be worth checking.
Also basic camping without any facilities is available at Blaen Nedd Isaf Farm next to Little Neath River Cave.

Guess they'd need double permission for that one, both from SWCC and from the wealden cave and mine (society?).

Possible?

The Chelsea Annual Dinner and AGM takes place this weekend so there is no space there. Sorry. Camp at Dan yr Ogof but phone them first.

Go elsewhere??

Sounds like a busy weekend in South Wales. Re-arrange for a quieter weekend.   :-\
