Chris Kinghorn

Saw a FB post that Chris had passed away on his journey to South Africa.  Anyone know if this is fact?

Sad news indeed...
He was a nut case but a really nice one ☹️

My thoughts exactly! I met him at a few of his birthday parties at Bull Pot Farm (before it got posh) and he couldn't have been a nicer bloke, but definitely a nut case! A real character and not someone you could forget in a hurry!

I first caved with Chris when I was in my teens and I'm only a year or so shy of him. Daft as a brush as we say in Yorkshire
Always up for it no matter how ridiculous it might have been. A hard and committed caver in his time. Chris was one of those folk who once met never forgotten. As awful as this might seem under the circumstances I'm happy to know that he was on his latest adventure.  Terribly sad and many of us who knew him have been phoning one another over the last 24 hours. We have good memories of him. I hope all who met him had. Daft yes, but a big heart to go with it..
