I noticed the other day that the official parking area for Ogof Draenen, opposite the now closed Lamb and fox, has been blocked with large boulders. Where is the so called official parking for Ogof Draenen now I wonder?

Didn't realise the usual parking spot had been blocked off but some people park a bit further along on Gilwern Hill, at the start of the tracks leading to the quarries and mast. There's usually people around there walking dogs etc. so maybe a little more secure. Also people park at Keeper's Pond if using, er, alternative egress.

Things might have changed in the last 6 months, but the last time I was there, there was a small area to park emmidiatly opposite the lamb and flag, adjacent to a larger area which was blocked by boulders. We interpreted the permit instructions as referring to the small area which was, at the time, open.

Yep, this is the usual spot that has been blocked also.
